As Volunteer Appreciation Month comes to a close, we want to take a moment and recognize our selfless Aediseans, who give back to our community and strive to leave a #PostitiveLastingImpact both in and out of the office. Our devoted employees offer their time and expertise to serve on numerous boards, coach and mentor kids through sports, prepare taxes for the elderly, empower and excite kids to enter the field of architecture, and distribute food for Second Harvest Food Bank. Tombola! At long last, we have restarted our bi-weekly “soiree” tradition. Last Thursday, Aediseans came together to celebrate a shared love of all things Italian, including food and Italian bingo. In “hybrid” mode, friends in San Jose and Sacramento offices were able to take part in the fun. #OurOfficeIsOpen #TogetherAgain
The County of Santa Clara Board of Supervisors honored Thang Do, FAIA, CEO of Aedis Architects, for his devotion to our community and the #PositiveLastingImpact he has left on schools in the Bay Area. It was impressive to hear the list of committees and initiatives he has been involved with over the last several decades. Congrats, Thang, and thank you for all your hard work!
Together again! As we optimistically return to the office, we are reminded just how great being with our fellow Aediseans is. Smiling faces and good company created a wonderful buzz at the office today. Happy St. Patty’s Day, and cheers to more days together!
Our Aedis family gathered last weekend to celebrate another fantastic year. We toasted each other, on jobs well done, and the co-workers that have become friends and ultimately turned into family. Thank you for your endless efforts and heartfelt devotion as we worked together to leave a #PositiveLastingImpact.
Aedis’ Sacramento team had the privilege of participating in this season’s We Care event at the Boys & Girls Club of America. The event, hosted by MTA Office (Miles Treaster Associates), provides children the opportunity to make holiday crafts for the special people in their life. Our very own Joe Vela, AIA, Meuy Saechao, Derek Wong, and Robert Rudd managed the Aedis craft table and helped kids create holiday cards, complete with personal notes and messages for their loved ones. The afternoon was full of laughs, thankful kids, and the holiday spirit, as we left a #PositiveLastingImpact on the Boys and Girls Club in Sacramento.
Our San Jose team brainstormed, collaborated, designed and brought to life this year’s Christmas in the Park Aedis tree – “Dive into the Holidays!” Our creation proudly stands among the other beautifully decorated trees in downtown San Jose’s Plaza De Cesar Chavez. Stop by to enjoy the festivities, soak in the holiday spirit and hopefully leave with a smile!
Our Aedis family expanded in 2022 with the addition of these delightful humans. We enjoy their energy, appreciate their insights, value their dedication, and look forward to the #PositiveLastingImpact they will help us leave on the communities we serve.
Congratulations to our very own Srivarshini Balaji for becoming a Certified Access Specialist. Sri’s expertise in state and federal accessibility standards will be a tremendous benefit to her clients and projects. We appreciate her becoming a valuable resource to the entire Aedis team, as we work diligently to design spaces that are more inclusive and accessible for everyone, helping us leave a #PositiveLastingImpact for generations to come.
