The realities of 21st Century Learning are driving dramatic transformation in the design of learning environments. Schools are committed to delivering curriculums that result in a full range of competencies including communication, inquiry, reasoning, personal responsibility, creativity, and social justice.

At Aedis Architects we demonstrate these competencies every day and express them in the educational environments we design.  We are designing schools that support the advanced educational thinking the 21stcentury demands, such as PBL (project-based learning), and STEaM (science technology engineering arts and math). In addition, our school design philosophy embodies sustainability, aka the three P’s: people, planet, prosperity.  We designed the first net zero energy public school in California and consistently incorporate LEED design features.  As centers of their communities schools also play an important role in transforming our urban environment.
